What A Blessing!

So we were in Grand Rapids at Meijer the other day and I was silently bumming because I hadn't heard back a definite answer about a job yet! I wasn't saying anything about it but somehow he knew what I was thinking about.
Scott: You know, God will bring along just the right job in His time.
Me (shocked that he randomly knew what I was thinking about): I knowww! But it's hard waiting when I'm supposedly moving up here in only a week!
Scott: Well, if He wants you up here, He'll give you the job. And if that's not His will, you wouldn't want to be here anyway, would you? I know He'll put you in the right job no matter where it is. This is one of those times you just need to trust Him, right?
He had a point...and a good one! I was so blessed to have a guy who could encourage me like that. That's not all! The next morning I met him for coffee at 6:30am before he left for work. I was on my way to an interview at one of the hospitals before heading home to Indiana. We got our java and I tried not to stress out about the job search. As we walked back out to our cars he said,
"Cindy, I'd really like to pray with you before you go. Is that okay?"
Was that okay?! Of course it was! So right there in the Starbucks parking lot on the corner of two of the major highways in Grand Rapids, Scott and I had a conversation with God. And His peace, (you all know the kind I'm talking about, it's the peace that passes understanding) filled me to the brim Wednesday morning! My second interview went well and I was promised to hear back on it by Monday. But what a HUGE gift from God to have a boyfriend who believes in the power of prayer. That wasn't the first nor the last time Scott has prayed for me, and each time I am so grateful to God for blessing my life with him!

That is so cool. I am blessed that you have a man in your life that loves God and trusts Him for the things in his (and your) life. We love you and your family so much Cindy. We want lots of good things for you. Just keep pressing into Him and He will give you the desires of your heart. He will lead you down the right path and the perfect job will come up. We will be praying about the one you interviewed for. Keep us updated. I'm truly impressed with Scott. You're kind of like one of our own and we get a little protective of our "girls", but looks like he's a keeper!!!!! Love you bunches.
Seriously so cool. We'll keep you here Cindy but we'll understand wherever God takes you. It's been so much fun having you and your sisters in our lives. Thanks a bunch.
I am so happy for you, Cindy! It was great hearing from you on my blog...it's been too long! Sounds like things have been going well, but at the same time, have really been teaching you how to continue to trust God with all aspects of your life - I know it's a continual learning process for me! Sometimes we all need reminders of God's faithfulness and love, and God puts just the right people in our lives at just the right time. God is so good, isn't he???
